Greetings Ed & Molly! I wanted to drop a quick note and say thanks for the excellent (as always) Diving and hospitality. Hi guys, I want to thank you for the dives you took me on this past Wed, Thu. You're right, St. Croix is amazing, and I'm trying to get my dive shop in Austin to host a large trip out here, and, of course, recommending they contact you to work with you on it. I took the attached photo at the eagle ray site on Thu morning; I took it using the camera I bought in your dive shop after the dives on Wed. I thought you might like to see it. I don't know if it's as cool a shot as I think it is, but it was my first time in the water with a camera, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Thanks again, and I'll be back down here before long, I'm sure.

Ed, Molly & crew, Wanted to pass along my sentiments on your operation -- it's first class all the way. My brother and I had an absolutely terrific time diving with your crew. The experience was the ultimate in convenience -- we didn't even have to take our gear out of the car - your crew did that and took care of the equipment for the rest of the trip. They did everything but pull us through the water. Oh yeah, the diving was great, too. Having the dive masters make each dive was a plus for this relatively inexperienced diver. They were pointing all kinds of things that I would have missed. If/when I make it back to St. Croix, I'll definitely be coming back to you. Thanks again for making the trip such a wonderful experience.

Hi Guys, I just wanted to, once again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your all-out efforts in helping me obtain my Scuba certification. I was really at the point of giving up on the idea of completing the course, thinking I was unable to complete the skills required. After three trips down there, my Experience had been pretty bad. After having completed the course with you, I feel much more confident (not overconfident) with my scuba diving and being in the water and under. You made such an incredible difference in how I feel about the sport. I am looking forward to coming down there again next year and getting my advanced and doing the pier at night - with you guys, of course!

Hi Ed and Molly: Randy & I wanted to thank you and your staff for a fun & relaxing dive vacation. You truly deserve the high rankings for service! No one was ever too busy to answer our questions, give advice, or get our gear out so we could shore dive, or just shoot the breeze. Your entire boat & dive crew made sure that everyone was having fun - but still within safe parameters. I wish more dive operations would catch the great attitude! I can't tell you how many times on other dive vacations that we felt "herded, pushed & pulled", both above and below water, to the point that it became more like work than fun. Not so with your group! We were allowed to dive our computer limits, and were not forced to surface as a group, and were treated with respect, which is the main complaint I have with other operators. Even when you had the boat issue, you all scrambled and made sure that we all got our dives each day. We all appreciated the extra mile! When I read Undercurrent or Scuba Magazine reader surveys of dive operations, I see a lot of "very experienced" divers get their opinion printed -- they don't like to dive with "newbies", they want to do their own thing, they only want to dive with other techies, etc. I am going to write to both and try to get my opinion across about the value of your operation. There are so many divers like me & Randy who really enjoy diving, but we are not in competition with anybody else and just want some fun & some relaxing diving experiences while on vacation. I hope to get one of the publications to give your operation the "thumbs up" for all divers & experience levels, but particularly hope that many readers like myself see the it and head your way. We found you by word of mouth recommendation, and will pass the word on! Again, many thanks for a terrific time.

You guys are the real deal. You made it easy to make arrangements prior to our trip and took great care of us until we left. Just like your web site says, its people who make the difference. Hi guys, We dove with you guys Nov 5-7 and had a ball! We’re recreational divers and do this about once a year. Realizing that, we appreciated the way the crew handled the dives. They did most of the pre-dive preparation and didn’t rush us into or out of the water. This reduced any potential stress and maximized our fun. Everyone we met was both professional and personable. Ed, Pete, Travis, Matt, and Wendy were all great hosts and guides. The night dive with Matt and Travis was especially exciting. Travis encouraged us to turn off the lights and when we did, the bioluminescence was unbelievable! I’d encountered a similar scene once before, but my wife had not had the pleasure and this night was just fantastic! Thanks again for all your consideration and making such a wonderful contribution to our vacation in St. Croix. Hope to see you all soon.

We had picked a good week to do some diving at St Croix, warm water and sun, with a light breeze made the week near perfect. Dear Captain Ed and Molly,  I wish to thank you and your staff for a great week of diving November 11 through November 18, 2005. Despite the high winds and rain the Reliance sailed every day I was booked. I did not see any other boats most days. It was nice to be on the best boat in St. Croix. My divemasters, Dawn and Kerrie were great. Kerrie let us dive our computers, whilst keeping a watchful eye on our air. Her skills were evident and she had a great eye for critters. After 3 days we finally found our fish of the day, a beautiful spotted rockfish. " Little " Dawn was something else. While I was out the first day she showed my wife the harbor area and gave her advice on shopping, restaurants, etc. She encouraged me to try my first night dive, which we did with Captain Ed at Eagle Ray. It was a blast ! Her enthusiasam is beyond compare. I also was able to dive with her at Blue Chute and WAPA on the 13 th and we had a ball. I would also like to thank Roger for providing me with the 100s I requested. The girls had them on the boat for me every morning and never complained, despite the heavy weight. They also had my BC set up and ready to go each morning. They even rinsed it and stored it for me. What excellent service.

We just returned to Chicago from a fabulous 10 days in St. Croix. I can’t thank you and your team enough for what was clearly the best diving experience we have ever had.
Having experienced your operation first hand, it is very clear why you have received the industry awards you have.
Your staff is first rate across the board - they are not only knowledgeable, but just an awful lot of fun to dive with!
We have brought back a lot of wonderful memories – from coming across the massive turtle on the night dive, to being joined by the dolphins on the north wall, to seeing all the diverse critters under the Frederiksted pier…I could go on and on.
I am already looking forward to planning another trip to St. Croix.
When that happens, you can be assured we will be reaching out to you to line up some more diving.

Ed and Molly, Thanks again for another GREAT SCUBA dive experience! I enjoyed being on Gary's inaugural voyage he did an outstanding job as Captain. The fresh pineapple he provided after each dive was Excellent! The rest of the crew kept us supplied with plenty of refreshing cold water also. Pete was a superb divemaster! And the kiss I almost received from the Hawksbill turtle will be one I won't forget. Hopefully it won't take me three years again before I dive with ya'll.

Hello Gang,
I woke up this morning back in NYC, happy that I live on the water, but I never realized how dull the Hudson river looks.
It's the same color as the buildings! I' m think I'm in love with St Croix!
Thank -you so much to the entire SCUBA staff for making my brother's and my experience so enjoyable.

Dear SCUBA,
Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much we enjoyed scuba diving with you during our honeymoon in St. Croix.  Neither my wife or I had ever been diving before and were thrilled that Iahn visited the Buccaneer one morning and showed us what we were missing!  The next week we went out for a two-tank dive to complete our Discover Scuba Diving class.  What fun!
I, personally, enjoyed it so much that I have decided to continue my training here in Chicago and obtain my PADI certification, then on to Master Scuba and hopefully become an instructor in my own right.  And it all started with Iahn, his confident teaching ability and courteous attitude.  Thanks Iahn!
I'm sure a vast majority of people you see come through your shop, you never see or hear from again, but I wanted to let you know that you created a monster here in Chicago!  I can't wait to get back in the water!  Should my wife and I ever visit St. Croix again, we will stop by for a visit.  Thanks and happy diving!

Hello Ed and Molly: Two very happy and excited people returned from St. Croix late Saturday night. We had been checking in with them via cell phone to see how the vacation was going. I can't tell you how delighted we were that the scuba diving worked out for David and Laurie. They were so enthusiastic about both Gary and Ian - and the esprit of the entire crew on the Reliance. Plus, they so appreciated your advice - subtle and not (e.g. "You DON'T want to go out this afternoon" as Molly put it). As ever, people are what count in any business and you set the tone and the standards for everyone there and are THE BEST dive operation. To sum up their reaction to being under, "who would want to snorkel after this?!" We had Laurie's parents join all of us for Sunday lunch yesterday and viewed the 2 DVD's that they bought from Jerry. They talked like pros! Needless to say, Stephen is going to start researching where they can get certified in coursework up here (if they want to) and then return to you for the C dives. Perhaps John is in business by now? Thank you for everything you did to make this first venture underwater a fantastic experience for them.

Ed -- we just got back home from our trip to St. Croix. I wanted to write and tell you just how much I appreciated the work of both Captain J and Gary. Both instructed me in the specialities I wanted: wall diving, wreck diving, and enriched air diving. Both Gary and J were very professional and patient. They took the extra time to thoroughly explain all the aspects of each specialty and made sure that I understood the subject before each dive. This approach enabled me to have a safe and enjoyable dive on every dive. I also dove with Hergen. He also is an exceptional leader in the water and on the boat. Thanks for everything, Ed. My husband and I did a discover scuba with you in Feb. of this year and were so happy with out experience that we decided to get certified. We did and are now looking at equipment. What brand of regulator were we using when we dove with you? (SCUBAPRO) I loved the way it was so easy to breathe. I have not used one like that since then. You have a quality operation and are a hard act to follow. Everyone we have dealt with since has been nice, but no one has been as organized and prepared as you. All of the way through our certification process, we kept seeing Gale and remembering her instructions. In such a short period of time in the pool, she conveyed a huge amount of information which we kept remembering. That is the mark of a really gifted teacher. Thanks also to Jerry Merten for the wonderful video of our first dive. The only bad thing about diving with you at St. Croix for the first dive ever is that nothing else has been anything like it. Just a line to thank you and your staff for a wonderful though short diving experience this past week in St.Croix!

Thanks to the thoroughness of instructors like Doug and Gail my son, Ramesh (aka Kali) was able to pass the open water segment with flying colors. I also enjoyed my dives with the help of Doug on the first day and Brad on the second day. I felt very comfortable with Brad as he showed me the West Wall at Salt River. I’m sure he will be a good instructor. Unfortunately, we could not make the dive on Tuesday as planned due to my wife’s making reservations for the island tour and pre-paying for the tour. Perhaps next time we will plan to spend more time and take up more opportunities to dive other spots.

Your staff was most friendly and helpful and we wish to give them our regards. We did meet Molly and she invited us back. We will spread the word around the local dive community to give you guys a call whenever they are planning to go to the Caribbean.

  I had not realized that I had left behind my weight belt, so it was a surprise to have it arrive in the mail. 
  Thanks for returning it, the mug and your kind note.
  Beth & I had another great time in St Croix, in no small part to the fantastic diving. 
  Once again your shop, crew, boat and the dive sites were "First Rate". 
  Brad & Jason are good additions to your dive staff - they are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and easy to dive with. 
 Jerry is getting better every year with his film work and is a real asset to your operation. 
 We have not seen the quality of Jerry's work at other dive destinations.  Gale and Dan make the experience effortless - 
 "Just get in the boat stupid, we'll take care of the rest". Beth & I wish Tom "All the Best" at his new job
 and hope to see him again someday. We dove with him alot in the past 5 years and will miss him. 
  Our home computer has a picture of Christiansted Harbor as the Desktop and we look
   at the webcam often to see what the weather is like - looks a little overcast today. 
  In any weather, Christiansted, St Croix is the Best Place that we have found to relax and enjoy our

The equip. worked flawlessly - it was great - I love it. I had a chance to see allot of equip. - I'll take mine any day, thank you! Some people had problems - I didn't!!!.

For Gale and Dan - - - Thank you soooo much!!!! for being demanding instructors. I can't tell you how much that training paid off. I saw people doing things that were scary!!!!! Ascending so fast that they should have been 'bent'. Dan, they should learn some 'boat manners' and procedures! Go get 'em Captain Dan Bly. Gale, I owe you. I want you to know that in the midst of a vacation, I was practicing mask removal, bc removal (both surface and at depth), buoyancy control, fin pivots, navigation, etc. while there. My dive buddy wanted to know how, on our check-out dive, I got us back to the dock!! (Ask my instructor!!!! Navigation!!!). Second - we got into a problem, I had to remove my BC to reattach my tank because he could not. It was down at 30+ feet. Thank you for the training!!!!!

Now back to work!

I want to do the Rescue Diver and I want my Dive Master Cert.

Connie and I are planning to come back to St C. this Spring.

I had a wonderful time on November 25 diving in St. Croix on board your boat the SCUBA. The entire staff made my diving experience memorable, especially Walt. He is a very patient & knowledgeable trainer both at the Cormorant Hotel and the second training the day of the dive. Even though the other divers had different instructors Walt was concerned for everyone’s needs and safety. He is a real asset to your team.

In three weeks some of my clients are coming to St. Croix for a Victoria Secret Catalog fashion shoot and I have referred them to St. Croix Scuba.

  Thank you for the excellent experience we had diving with you. Your staff was very professional and made us feel at ease. My wife, Marge, started off as a "bubblewatcher" and after seeing the fun everyone was having she took the Discover Scuba Diving course. Gale made Marge feel extremely comfortable during her dives. Now after we're home I think she will continue and become a certified diver. 

  As a beginner diver, Doug helped me in gaining experience and confidence, making my dives extremely enjoyable. 

  I will highly recommend diving with your staff, who seem more like friends than someone just taking you out to dive.

I have just recently visited St. Croix and had the opportunity to meet John and Gale, It was the best part of my trip. I had never scuba before, and they took a great deal of there time to work with me to enjoy the experience. I just wanted to send a note letting you know what a great experience we had with your operation during our visit to St. Croix. I was originally a
little concerned about our 10 year old AJ, but Joe had him feeling very comfortable in no time at all. Gail and Dan on the boat were great also and we love the DVD Jerry did.

Since we enjoyed the introductory class so much, we're looking to do a full certification course and I was wondering if you might have a recommendation or referral to someone in the North Jersey area? We'll probably do the classroom work here and come back to STX for the open water dives.

Just wanted to drop you and Molly a line, applauding our time spent diving with you all. Everyone stood out!!! Everything was great!!! We were very pleased with the courteous, friendly, helpful, and just downright fun group of people that you have working for you. Doug and Mark were the best. They are really GREAT instructors, very informative and helpful. Mark had the skippering market cornered, too!!! WOW, hot chocolate when coming back on board after a night dive. That's the BOMB!!! The Deep Dive and Wreck Dives stood out the most for us. Lori, who was apprehensive of going deep and diving from a Zodiac, now loves the depths and Zodiacs. The vote is still out on the Night Dive. However, I think that we'll come around to love that, too. Thanks, again!!!

Dear Molly and Ed,
It has been my great pleasure in meeting you and your staff, especially John, Laura, Jamie and the Divemasters.  I've been out with Duane, Doug, Dan, Gale, and Gary.
One example of the unusual care you give is when I walked in the store before my scheduled afternoon dive and saw that you were all busy.  I started out the door, down the sidewalk, to the boat, when John came running after me to ask if I needed anything and then apologized for letting me leave before anyone could help.
I was most impressed that anyone noticed I had even been there as the store was so crowded. John, Jamie, and Gale have been wonderfully patient in answering all my questions about gear. Gale made me feel right at home in Christiansted when we met at a local store and she gave me a hug for passing my Advanced course.
As for Duane, he made my Advanced Certifications painless as possible and dealt with my insecurities by sharing his own stories and "humming' alongside me as we dove.  Dan and Doug were generous with helpful tips in navigation and swimming techniques at night and during the day.
Everyone was most knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and professional.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to you regarding our diving experiences at St. Croix with the company referenced above.  ......
My husband sent an initial e-mail in June and received an immediate response from Ed Buckley, the owner of SCUBA.  His e-mail was extremely professional, courteous and friendly.  We made reservations to dive on two different days (two dives each day) and it was a great experinece, from start to finish.  Everyone from the Divemaster to the cashier at the dive shop (and everyone in between!) was wonderful to us.  I could go on and on but will spart you further gushing.

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience we had with SCUBA.  We look forward to another trip to St. Croix and seeing our friends at SCUBA.  My husband's sister has a house on St. Croix and we plan to recommend SCUBA to our friends and family when they plan a visit to the USVI.

Hello Everyone,
I thank you for making my first dive (Introduction to Scuba Diving) an amazing experience. The sales associates were friendly -- which is a big change for me since I live in Brooklyn, NY!!!! I have been telling all of my family and friends that they should dive with your shop when they visit St. Croix. My instructor, Bobby, was easy to understand, patient and made me feel totally at ease. He did such a thorough job explaining the basics of SCUBA diving while we were in the pool, that the open water portion was no problem!

Well, it took me a few moments to actually work up the nerve to get into the water. However, Bobby didn't rush me. He waited until I was ready. Once I was in the water, he made sure I was OK and then gave me the signal to begin my descent.  I was impressed by Bobby's ability to handle a complete novice and still make the dive a lot of fun. I even saw my first sea turtle, sting ray, and squid in their natural environment. In fact, I saw numerous creatures on the dive that I had only ever seen on the other side of very thick plexiglass.

We enjoyed our short visit to St Croix. Your staff were great above and below the water. We think the reefs are probably the best we've seen yet. (better than Hawaii) Very much alive, colorful and full of marine life. In the past I avoided the night dive idea, but not anymore. It was an awesome experience. One we will not soon forget. There are so many islands that we usually look for a new one each time, but I would consider more visits to St Croix for the great diving and golf. For us the perfect match! Dear Molly & Ed,
Just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for making my final certification dives enjoyable. I didn't think I could find a place that would combine my boys resort dives with my certification dives, but
your company did it without a fuss. To me, the sign of a true professional is someone who makes everything look easy. Your company certainly fit the bill. While we missed seeing the dolphins down below on our dives, we saw a tremendous amount of aquatic life. Having it videotaped
allows my whole family to enjoy the experience. I think Morgan, the videographer (who looks just like Morgan, but I still can't remember his name), Rob, Stephanie and the rest of your staff are a terrific group and made our dives an exceptional experience. 

On a more serious side, I'd like to let your customers know how you handle things when everything doesn't go smoothly. My other son, Sean, also went down for a resort dive. He suffered a mask squeeze and some barotrauma with his ears. When I didn't see him down below I surfaced. Rob gave me the
okay sign as Sean was being lifted into the boat. I continued to dive and surfaced after completing my first dive with Morgan and Ryan. When I got on the boat, Sean had a raccoon face, but otherwise was just having problems clearing his ears. Rob had radioed into the home base for advice. They had consulted a doctor and had notified my wife, who was shopping locally. Instead of this being something to worry about, your staff handled it without a hitch, like the true professionals they are. Sean is doing well and his raccoon face was back to normal in a couple of days. I can't say enough about your facility except to say I recommended you to everyone who asked on the cruise ship and we would love to plan a family trip just to St Croix.

ship arrived in Christainsted on Tuesday, 17 Aug. When we arrived all we knew is we wanted to dive, but

scheduled one for us with only three divers. Your team are some of the most friendly I've meet in the
Islands! We put into port all over the Caribbean, and your operation is the best I've seen. I'm looking

My father & I tried our first scuba dive with you in Sept. We were with Amanda & Phlash while they
were finishing their certification. My Dad is Winston, I'm Barbara from Virginia. I just wanted you to know that you hooked me. I will certify in scuba this summer and head to Hawaii in October & plan to scuba the Pacific! Your class & dives fulfilled a long time dream for me & I want to thank you. Everyone was great. Tom dove with us and I always felt safe. Dad & I talk about our experience frequently. The shark, the eel,coral, &  beautiful fish....I'll never forget it. I just want to thank EACH of you for some GREAT diving. i loved it. so much so, that i am PLANNING to come back next for the sole purpose of diving. Next time, i will shoot for a night, deep and wreck dive!

You guys are the greatest. thanks to my dive master for showing me all the camoflauged marine life that otherwise I might have overlooked.  Cozumel has big beautiful reefs with a large variety of fish but this was more laid back, more personal, and not as crowded PLUS I have never seen as many eels or as many different schools of fish. I saw several tarpons, juvenile drill, barracuda, lobster, crab, puffer fish and the largest moray I have ever seen.

We all have very fond memories of scuba diving with you, you guys really are the friendliest dive shop on earth.......Once again thank you for such a wonderful experience, I really hope we make it back to St. Croix soon!

Molly,
Just wanted to take a quick minute to write and reiterate what a great time Krystal and I had on a our brief vacation to St. Croix, all of which was due to everyone at SCUBA. While we haven't dived with every shop on earth, we can certainly say you're the friendliest dive shop we've ever dived with.

You guys run a tight ship with the customer at the forefront of everyone's focus. Your entire staff - especially Tyler, Tom, Dave, and Ingo went out of their way to make sure Krystal and I were as pampered as we needed to be to feel the vacation was an ultimate success. And their knowledge of the area and the dive sites sent a long way to assure that the experience is one we will treasure for years to come.

We will definitely suggest that any of our friends heading to the islands make a point of contacting SCUBA to arrange for local activities -especially the diving!

Dear Molly and Ed,
We felt so welcomed by SCUBA from email responses to Molly's arrival at Sugar Beach to pick us up that first morning, to every moment on the boat, and our constant "bobbing" into the store.  You run an operation which is so attuned to the individual needs in a very sincere way.  And we wanted you to know how much we appreciated your looking after all of our varied certification agendas.  It's been a hard adjustment back to work life and Stephen is already scheming how we can get back to the island this summer!  Please remember us to Tyler, Tom, and Morgan.  We wish you a busy season.

I wish I was back in St. Croix doing another dive with you. Both my brother (Bill) and I really had a lot of fun. The water was warm , the visibility was great, the crew was excellent and the dive was one to remember 3/05/99. I just wanted to say thanks for making our vacation that much more memorable. Dear Molly and Ed,

After a busy week, I have finally have found time to send you a letter of thanks for all the help in making our recent dive trip with your dive group a very pleasureable and memoral family vacation. After making the move to the Tamarian Reef, our vacation plans seem to fall in place . All of us were impressed with your dive boat and divemasters, with each of our dives and the different dive sites. The different divers that we were exposed to with each dive were very interesting individuals from across the United States.
Your suggestions for dining were excellent and could be highly recommended to any of your future divers. The time spent in St. Croix was very relaxing and the people of the island were very helpful and congenial.
Needless to say, I would highly recommend St. Croix and your dive group for anyone wanting a worthwhile and enjoyable vacation spent diving.
