BUCK ISLAND REEF NATIONAL MONUMENT
Buck Island Reef Underwater National Monument is one of only two underwater national monuments in the United States.
The monument, a couple of miles north of St. Croix, supports a large variety of terrestrial and marine plants and animals, including endangered and threatened species.
To get to Buck Island you'll need a boat.
There are several of the operators to Buck Island Reef National Monument listed below.
If you're on your own boat and wish to moor at the island you'll need a permit application from the National Park Service Visitor Station at Fort Christianvaern in downtown Christiansted.
